Class Feedback on run-through

I showed my run-through to my class individually, as they were busy doing their work, I approached groups at a time, showing them the run-through on my laptop and them questioning what they liked and didn’t like about it.

I told them to keep in mind to not consider the cinematography because it was shot on my phone and in quite a rush. I asked them questions about the story, and that one line of dialogue I read out.
Their replies were very diverse, however there was a similarity in the majority of responses.

Questions I asked and the average answer I got for each one:

Q1) What effect does the Heavy breathing and shot of eye create?

Answer: It made the intro very intense and starts us off with asking questions, it made me curious to find out what happens next and how she got into her situation.

Q2) Did you like the slow pace the film was edited in?

Answer: No, I think to draw in more intensity and tension, it should be a little faster pace.

Q3) What do you think about the roses?

Answer: They are interesting and seem to add an aesthetic to the film, they draw in my attention more, because I ask myself why there are roses in such a creepy place.

Q4) What would you change?

Answer: I think changing the shot of the roses from a pan to a still, will help concentrate on them better.

Q5) Overall, if you were to sum up this film in 1 word, what would it be?

Answer:
  • Intense
  • Scary
  • Curious
