- The title is in capital letters and it is bold which makes it stand out as it is one of the first things you see so it is very eye-catching. I think the title also dominates the poster as it is at the top and therefore it helps you remember the name of the film well.
- The actors are listed down the side to make the viewers aware of who is in staring in the film, which helps sell the film due to famous actors. It entices the audience to watch it and adds credibility to the movie.
- The costume the lads is wearing in the front cover is a seductive. Her dress shows her cleavage which signifies her characters intentions and gives us an insight to what the film is about and attracts the male audience. She is also wearing red lipstick which is a female fatale. Her dress is very provocative and she is wearing high heals and which can imply sex as a man factor in the film.
- The way the lady is staring straight into the camera attracts people to watch the film. It attracts the male audience.
- The lighting is very low which adds darkness and boldness/hardness which reveals the film has an aspect of mystery
- There is a gun in the centre of the poster which reveals violence and danger which helps to reveal the genre of the film.
- The 10 cent and the crumpled edges suggest the image is old.
- The colour that is mostly on this film poster is blue and grey, therefore we can imply that the genre of his film is sci-fi. .
- The actors eyes are looking straight directly into the camera which means he is looking straight at us. His eyes show convince concentration and mystery of the unknown.
- The actor is behind broken glass which connotes violence and danger. It can also connote he is trapped and trying to get out of somewhere dangerous.
- There is a red eye in the poster. Inside the eye there is a baby inside which suggests danger to children. The eye is in red which resembles blood and violence
- There is a tag line on the poster which gives us an insight into what the film is about and intrigues the audience to find watch it and find out more.
- The main character is on the front of the poster. His facial expressions suggest aggression and violence which could tell the genre of the film to be thriller. His teeth are grizzling which e anger and hate.
- There is an axe going through the door which represents violence and murder. It is used to introduce the theme of aggression horror.
- The other actors facial expressions contrast with the man as the women looks scared and shocked why the other man looks psycho.
- The colour theme of the poster is black and red which signifies blood and death.
- At the top it says “Greatest movies of all time” this represents its success and draws people in to watch it.
