Storyboard V1

The storyboard is based on the story i wrote. The camera angles I drew in the storyboard are not perfect but within the vicinity they need to be in.

The storyboard will prove to be very useful. It provides the main visual guidance that we need, to help us with creating the film. Each box represents a shot in the film, using these boxes we can work around a film schedule in addition to a film budget. Because we know exactly how each shot should look like, we can arrange times and dates at as to when we need to film at certain locations. For us, we are based is one location, so the storyboard will be used as a guide to see when to film certain shots, shots that do not contain actors don’t necessarily need to be filmed while an actor is present, helping us save time, and the weather on certain days can help create a desired effect. As for budget, using a storyboard, we can see the range of props we will require to get the best out of our film, it can also help us determine whether we will need professional assistance in terms of visual effects, such as a realistic looking cut hand, and what type of equipment we will be needing to use to achieve the desired look.

The storyboard will prove to be very effective when it comes to editing the final movie, as we collect all the footage, using the storyboard as a guide, we can organise and edit fluidly without having to scavenge for potential missing scenes, and to prevent constantly needing to rearrange the footage around. In addition, the storyboard can help as a preventative tool, to make sure we dont forget to film certain shots or characters, as this can cause many problems if location, act(ress)/(ors) or props become unavailable post filming.
